I hope all of you had a lovely week. We had a lovely week too. While I have different experiences throughout the whole week, I thought it is good to share our experience in buying some Smiggle school supplies when we were out for lunch during the last weekend. Well, it was for lunch. But, we did some shopping too. Enjoy the pictures from the school supplies section!
All these cute bags are Smiggle which is a favourite brand among children.
Although these bags and other supplies are beautiful, we never had a plan to buy any item for our child. Simply we did our back to school shopping a few weeks ago. Son’s pencil case and water bottle were already in good condition. So we didn’t buy new that time.
Anyway, I found that child was in this section for some time checking each and every item while I was checking for a flask for me on the other side. By his looks, I knew that he wanted to buy some items. But, I just pretended that I didn’t see that. 🙂
He was checking these water bottles for some time while holding a Smiggle hard-top pencil case.
He said that he likes this water bottle. And also a pencil case. I said him to ‘ask Dad’! 🙂
Well, he was convincing his father why this pencil case is more suitable for him than the current one. His current pencil case is just a pencil case where everything is inside. I know that it is not easy to find pens. He has to pull everything out. Moreover, he used it for nearly over a year!
He says he can easily organize his pencils and other stationery in the Smiggle hard-top pencil case due to its arrangement. Internal mesh compartments and Internal pen slots are his reasons to choose this hard-top pencil case instead of the one he owns. 🙂
Well, finally Dad agreed to buy it.

We ended up buying a water bottle from another brand too together with this Smiggle pencil case. The child was happy and we too.

Nice back to school supplies. I miss those days with my daughter. Of course it always costs money and sometimes what they want is expensive or looks like something that won’t last. But I like the football pencil case and you son looks very happy. Happiness cannot be overrated. I hope

I try to buy school items when they go on sale throughout the year so I am not buying them at full price. So far, we have only purchased a few clothes.

I’ve never heard of Smiggle, but I think your son had a valid reason for wanting a better pencil case. At least he thought it through why he needed, not just wanted, a better case. He looks happy drinking that drink, too. Thanks for sharing this fun post with us for T this Tuesday, dear Amila.
Somehow my daughter and I never did big school supplies shopping. A few folders, some composition books, a binder, maybe a couple more pencils – that’s it. She was pretty good in keeping her “old” stuff. She also loved the pencil cases where she could organize her things, just like your son. Happy T day!

School supplies were my favorite. One year I was given a pencil case that I had wanted for a long time. I remember it to this day (I’m 72) and I remember crying tears of joy. So I am really pleased that your son was allowed to buy the pencil case he desired. At the same time you are teaching him to build up arguments and defend his ‘position’.

I don’t know anything about Smiggle but I definitely approve of the pencil case as it is the same inside as my travel kit which was bought a few years ago in the school supplies section in the shop. Mine is bright pink! Your son does look happy! Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx
