Toddler Play Time:Playing with Building Blocks

Building Blocks are kind of a childhood must have toys. However, did you know that it is enhancing skills of your kid?Actually, learning to build a tower of blocks or learning to keep blocks on top of each other is a developmental milestone. In different ages,Toddlers must develop their skills to stack one block on top of another

Anyway, these are just captures of my son’s play time.He is really attached to his new building block set. Most of the time,I can see him making structures, towers and a train using the blocks.

Leaf Printing again!

Leaf printing is really fun and a good way to keep engage any toddler. We recently started doing this activity at home and my son loves it.This time we used a different type of leaves.Seems,my son has improved this time.Anyway,I am happy with his creativity at his 2 years of age.

We went out and collected few leaves. It was really good to visit outside and to collect leaves.Sanu enjoyed his time collecting different leaves.

Then we used colours on backside of the leaves and started making prints on a drawing paper. Here is our final outcome.

Vegetable Stamping with Okra

We tried another simple art at home. This time we used okra/ladies finger or ‘bandakka‘ (as we call in Sri Lanka) to make a simple drawing.Well,I dont have good photos to share as I simply use my phone to capture some moments while paying more attention to teach my son.

What you simply need forVegetable Stamping with Okra are,

-Okra and some Paint

Simply cut a side of okra. Then it will look like a flower pattern.
